Delicious Short Rib Recipe
Introduction

- 3 pounds of beef short ribs
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil

- 1/2 cup of red wine
- 2 cups of beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- Add the short ribs and brown them on all sides, about 4 minutes per side.
- Remove the short ribs and set them aside.
- Add the onion to the Dutch oven and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garlic, thyme, and rosemary and cook for another minute.
- Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the red wine and bring to a boil, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the Dutch oven.
- Let the wine reduce by half, about 5 minutes.
- Add the beef broth and bring to a boil.
- Return the short ribs to the Dutch oven.
- Cover the Dutch oven and transfer it to the oven.
- Cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the short ribs are tender and falling off the bone.
- Remove the Dutch oven from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Remove the short ribs from the Dutch oven and set them aside.
- Strain the sauce through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl.
- Return the sauce to the Dutch oven and cook over medium-high heat until it thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Add the short ribs back to the Dutch oven and coat them with the sauce.
- Serve the short ribs with your choice of sides, such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
